At school
Grandpa met us at the car as he does most school day mornings to walk us into school. Linus went immediately to his favorite perch.

First day
Another school year starts for the girls. Zofie's main concern is why exactly she has to go to school. Also, after her first couple of days she declared that she does not like boys, except Daddy, Linus, our neighbor Jimmy, grandpas, and other male members of the family and at church, etc. She was not so forthcoming with other details of her days (such as being line leader the first day.) Maeta says she is enjoying herself and easily provides answers to the inquiring minds.

Little boy took a moment's break from his fun of pulling each of his stuffed friends out of the bin, then putting them all back in one by one whilst jabbering to each one in its turn.

Play
The girls were busy elsewhere so Linus got some playtime to explore his toys alone with Mommy. As is often the case with most younger siblings, he gets more divided than undivided attention from his parents.

Tuckered out
We had a few tired, hungry, thirsty, hot, and asserting our will tantrums at the zoo. But the ride home was as quiet as the day was beautiful.

Goodbye curls?
A couple of months ago Maeta wanted to have her hair cut shorter because brushing it out each day is something of a trial for her. But at the last moment she decided against it since people kept mentioning how lovely her curls were. This time she didn't change her mind.
