Baptismal sweater
Our friend Cristina knitted this beautiful sweater for Linus for his baptism. She dyed the yarn herself with indigo which gave it this watery blue hue. I love it!

Playing altogether
The girls have been using the area under the dining room table to play lately. Linus's curiosity draws him in. Were it as easy for him to get out.

Cuddling cousins
A cancelled ski trip for the Repp kids turned to our advantage. Helen brought the kids here for the long weekend and we all enjoyed the frigid temps huddled together in our overheated apartment. [Note the girls in their most beloved (meaning, we would wear them every day if our parents would let us) "Snoopy Boopy" shirts.]

Goofs
Now we know where Maeta gets her goofiness. Cousin James and Maeta pose with the straight man, Peter, who was the Repps' exchange student from Denmark for the first half of the school year.

Leg man
At the moment, Linus loves to get himself within the legs of the dining room chairs. It looks like this also extends to other legged things.

8 Months Old
We have a nice series of Linus with the "months old" sign that we will post someday. It is much like the girls at 7 months - playing, and playing, then eating it.

Tuckered
Maeta is our child who is always ready to go to sleep at night. The bedtime ritual always leads her to where we would like her to go. Here she fell asleep prematurely, while Matthew was reading the bedtime stories. I don't think has ever happened before.

Daddy's home!
Linus sure loves when his Daddy walks through the door after work. He sits on Matthew's hip and pumps his legs up and down to show just how happy he is. I took this picture to remember just how small the boy is when sitting on his Dad's hip.

Silent Night
Met Mark and Cristina for dinner last night out near Oak Park. On the way home, Maeta asked for music and I put on Five for Fighting's amazing version of Silent Night (sounds like Coldplay's Chris Martin or Nick Drake). The little girls, who are quite conservative about such things went ballistic demanding 'real' Christmas music. I told them that we were listening to Christmas music and that I liked this version a lot (and, of course, that I would put on their chosen CD shortly). Taking her cue from me, Maeta then insisted that this was her favorite. Zofie responded by saying, "no, it is MY favorite." Maeta then responded even more adamantly "No, it is MY favorite . . . I don't know what it is, but it is my favorite."Posted by Matthew at 7:39 PM
