A dog has eaten my head
The indignities of childhood are especially intense during Christmas.

Full Picture Selection on Picasa
I have just uploaded the most recent selection of pictures on Picasa http://picasaweb.google.com/repptianbabies/12142007. We will still get the highlights up here with comments, but this way you can pick the ones you like best too.Posted by Matthew at 7:27 AM

7 Months Old Today
Seven months brings eating a variety of foods, working on crawling, working on pulling up (!), sitting up---and moving from belly to sitting up without assistance, and smiling a lot. Linus sleeps soundly at night and during his two naps and he loves to look closely at his Shark mobile when he wakes up from a nap. He is remarkably patient when he travels around with mommy, stuffed into the pumpkin seat that he has just about completely outgrown.

The Repptian Babies
Not the best picture ever, but there is something about it that I liked.

Yes I can
Despite our best intentions and the ropes we use to tie him down, little boy is getting mobile.

Genes are a powerful thing
Zofie, concentrating on the artwork here, shows a resemblance to her father with the little concentration tongue stuck out the side. Amy says that Maeta does exactly the same thing.

I prefer just eating frosting
When doing anything that involves food preparation, Maeta is all about 'snitching.' This picture sums up the usual posture as she decorates/adds ingredients/etc.

Ready for a visit to Gus's
Linus is clearly a Repp-Christian since he likes pretzels so much. I can't remember whether hot, soft pretzels from Gus's come before or after carrots in the food introductions....

Saturday Morning Ritual
The Saturday ritual around here is breakfast on the sofa, watching the opening 30 minutes-or-so of Curious George (although we recently got a DVD with some old Mighty Mouse episodes that have become an equal favorite). Our odd girls have little interest in TV otherwise, which is fine with us.

Girls at work
If play is the proper 'work' for children, Z and M are especially good at their jobs. They interact well together and have imaginary adventures constantly. As a parent, it is (mostly) a treat to watch.

Snow Day
Chicago has been snowier this December than any I can remember. The girls are really just at the age where they look forward to hats, mittens, and snow.

Snow Bunny
Grandma and Grandpa C gave the little man a beautiful hat and sweater to get him through the winter. The color is great and it fits him perfectly. Especially with his dark eyes, the little boy is just the cutest thing ever.

Yea Pears!
We have been moving through the food options with Linus: Peas, Green Beans, Squash and now Pears. The little boy, like his omnivore family, just loves food and eats it with a big mouth, no matter what we throw in there.
